A little bit about us

Little Chef has been a sign of good food for over 50 years, with restaurants right across the UK.

Where it all began...

The first Little Chef opened in Reading in 1958, the same year Britain got its very first motorway. From 11 seats, we've grown to become one of the UK's favourite roadside restaurants.

Today's Little Chef

We have 121 Little Chef restaurants, from Scotland down to Cornwall. You'll be in good company, over 10 million people eat with us every year.

You'll find our familiar sign on most major UK A-roads and of course, on many motorways.

Good food on the go. It's what we stand for

Our aim is very simple: to be the motorist's friend, serving up quality food and offering great value for money. Expect freshly prepared food, using the best ingredients we can buy. Enjoy a welcoming, informal setting and watch out for some new additions to our menu like our Tasty Toasties and Fish and Chips – helping you beat the rush hour (and the hunger pangs).

Little Chef has always been a favourite with business people on the move. Whether it be the place to refuel, meet colleagues or catch up on calls. At almost every Little Chef you can now connect to the internet - without the wires and completely free of charge.

If you need to keep moving, we offer a Good 2 Go menu at every Little Chef, so you can now choose your favourites to take away. Easy!

As part of PT Specialist Retailing, we have been officially certified with the Carbon Trust Standard proving that we have taken real action on climate change by measuring, managing and reducing our carbon emissions by more than 12% over the last 3 years.
